Creating a GPX file
There are a few options available to create GPX files online. Some of them require an account some are available without account. Here are a few of our favorites:
- GPS Visualizer is easy to use and free
- Wandermap is free and has a handy ”follow roads’ option
- GPX Editor is a bit more complicated to use but has some more advanced tools (some free, some paid)
- Trun Geo Trac is a useful tool to reduce complexity of long or detailed gpx files so they load faster. Please don’t have more than 500 datapoints in your gpx file. Try to create a file < 50 kb in size.
Once you have prepared your route make sure to download it to your computer as a .gpx file so you can use that in EveryChallenge.
Uploading the GPX
Virtual course maps are only available for Total Distance and Total Elevation Challenges.
