The Philadelphia Folksong Society is thrilled to announce its 2nd Annual Gene Shay/Founders’ Award Benefit Concert honoring the Godfather of Americana David Bromberg and folk legend Tom Rush ...plus others. Performers include Tom Rush, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams and Jay Unger & Molly Mason. This fundraising event will celebrate our folk community, and will take place on Tuesday, March 11th at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA. Celebrate with an evening of award presentations, performances, pre-reception, a silent auction and a VIP afterparty.
All ticket-holders may attend the silent auction, award ceremony and benefit concert. Special admission ticket-holders are guaranteed floor seats and may also attend a pre-reception. VIPS seated in first few rows can also attend an after-party with performers and honorees.
- Doors open at 6PM for pre-show reception
- Silent Auction begins at 6:15
- Award Ceremony begins at 7PM
- Concert Begins at 8PM
- After-party (VIP ticket-holders and special guests only) at 9:30PM
Gene Shay Award honorees this year are Mike Flagg and the late Ellen Superfine. Volunteer Spotlight Award will go to the Festiival Trash Committee.
