The National Bottle Museum to Host the 45th Annual
Antique Bottle Show and Sale
The National Bottle Museum (NBM) is presenting its 45th Annual Antique Bottle Show & Sale at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds, 162 Prospect St., Ballston Spa, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st, 2025. Admission is $5 for adults and children 16 and under are free. Early admission is available for $20 at 8 a.m. Food and refreshments are available on site, provided by the Brickyard Tavern. Parking is free.
THE BOTTLE SHOW
The show serves as the museum’s chief annual fundraiser and is attended by dealers and collectors from across the country. All types of bottles including early New England glass, stoneware, and related items will be offered for sale.
Of special interest is the exhibit “A Bottled Revolution: New York’s Earliest Glass Milk Bottles” by Alex Prizgintas, founder of the Orange County Milk Bottle Museum. The display includes some of the earliest glass milk containers made in the U.S. and features an ultra-rare Thatcher Milk Protector.
The National Bottle Museum will hold two bottle raffles at the show. One for an 1860s Evans & Ragland Old Ingledew Whisky bottle. A few years ago, a full bottle of this whiskey sold for $137,500 at auction. While this bottle is empty, it's still a beautiful, rare specimen. Tickets at the show are $3 each or two for $5. The second raffle for a pristine Clarke & White “C” Saratoga bottle is free and open to all members of the museum. Winners need not be present for the raffle.
NATIONAL BOTTLE MUSEUM
The museum will open on the day of the show from 10 AM to 4 PM. NBM has updated many of its exhibits in 2025 including the Ralph and Eleanor Work Collection of Saratoga Type Bottles in a new backlit case; The Spouting Springs, a history of the springs just south of Saratoga known as “The Geysers;” and our summer exhibit, Bottles & Baseball: The Glass History of America’s Pastime.
The Jan Rutland Memorial Artists Space on the second floor of the museum features two gallery showcases, The Garden Walk, which endeavors to bring the garden inside and The Art of the Bottle VIII with all art having a bottle theme.
The National Bottle Museum® was established in 1978 to preserve, research, and exhibit bottles and objects related to bottle making, and to explore the economic and cultural impact of the bottle industry. Located at 76 Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa, NY, the museum offers two floors of exhibit space, the Jan Rutland Memorial Art Gallery, and serves as the visitor’s center for Ballston Spa. The National Bottle Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit chartered through the Education Department of the State of New York.
