April 5-6, 10am-3pm both days
This year's online tour will feature a keynote by Doug Tallamy, author of "Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens" and the New York Times bestseller "Nature's Best Hope", speaking on the topic of "Answers to FAQ about how to transform yards into ecologically valuable gardens". In this talk Doug tackles the questions commonly asked at his popular lectures and shares compelling and actionable answers that will help gardeners and homeowners take the next step in their ecological journey.
The virtual program also features six home gardens, as well as talks on fire-resistant native plants-plus a presentation by Berkeley Fire Department Chief Colin Arnold on how to protect your home, and how to garden for native bees and prune native plants, the amazing Skyline Gardens Restoration Project, and more.
