These would include commodity classification, export licensing, denied party screening, recordkeeping, and data security. The presentation will cover these details for both sets of pertinent regulations, that is, ITAR for military items and EAR for commercial/dual-use items.

Rick Phipps has 25 years of experience in export control and program management. Beginning in 2000, Phipps oversaw CTP’s international training program on behalf of the State Department, spreading knowledge and cooperation in dual use export control to over 88 countries. Since 2008, Phipps has led CTP’s efforts in the private sector, creating customized export control solutions for clients of all sizes. Under his guidance, CTP’s range of compliance services has expanded to include commodity classification, licensing, policies & procedures, audits, and training.
