GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up and coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present South East London-based singer / songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and bandleader LUCIA GOYA-BETTS (LIVE), Free Entry, deep in our speakeasy jazz lounge at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

GRASS ROOTS serving as a 1st Thursday monthly platform for promising artists to ‘polish their chops and play their own choons’. These fresh and fully inclusive sessions are a must attend for patrons and participants alike.

Lucia Goya-Betts very much forms part of the next wave of jazz names coming through. This South East London-based singer and songwriter is also a multi-instrumentalist as well as a budding bandleader.

Wide varieties of musical influences from European classical to contemporary jazz make up most of her compositional sound.

Having played in numerous reputable venues including the St Ives Jazz Club in Cornwall and alongside rising stars such as Kaidi Akinnibi, Lucia's genre-bending selections are helping her establish a strong identity within London's emerging jazz scene.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
