Berkeley Center for New Media 20th Anniversary Alumni Conference

The Berkeley Center for New Media is thrilled to announce the BCNM 20th Anniversary Alumni Conference! 

The conference, which will be held on April 10 and 11, principally in Banatao Auditorium at UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Dai Hall, is part of our yearlong celebration of BCNM’s 20 years of history and brings together generations of BCNM students. It showcases the field-defining scholarship of BCNM alumni, in conversation with current BCNM graduate students and faculty. 

The conference consists of:

• six panels on AI, visuality, race in popular media, digital geographies, new media art, and computational design
• two professionalization roundtables on academic and alt-ac career paths
• keynote discussions with former BCNM directors
• a public reception at Platform Artspace featuring music performances, readings, and art by alumni and current students
