DERANGED FRIENDS: Michael O'Brien & Geoff Bolt, founding members of the long-running SF satirical group "The National Theatre of the Deranged," in an evening of Comedy, Improv and Sketch. With special guests: Louise Fong Bonham, Nancy Bower, Brooke Cook, David Fineman, Ellen Gunn Fineman, Stephanie Milligan, Michael Shaffer, Bruce Yelaska & more.
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo, Other Cafe and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist leading the Saturday Improv Workshop at Fort Mason Center, one of the longest-running improv workshops in the country. His acting credits include the awarding winning film "The Last Black Man in San Francisco". Michael also hosts a weekly radio program on Sonoma’s NPR station KRCB.
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films, was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight.
Michael and Geoff are joined tonight by some of the finest and funniest performers in all the land.
