DULLES TOWN CENTER ‘LIVIN’ IT UP IN LOUDOUN FAMILY FEST’

efore kids head back to school, Dulles Town Center, a super-regional mall located in the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia (www.shopdullestowncenter.com), together with The Family One, an organization that creates, implements and operates programs to support the youth of Loudoun County, invites the community to take part in their “Livin’ It Up in Loudoun Family Fest” on Saturday, August 3rd, from noon to 5 p.m. in the parking lot near The Cheesecake Factory. This fun-filled family-focused event will feature Loudoun County first responders and construction teams offering a “touch-a-truck” experience; all-day musical performances; a wet-and-wild foam pit; a mist tent and shoot-n-shower water activities; rock climbing; axe throwing; three-point and dunk basketball competitions; a game truck; inflatable soccer and football; face painting; a caricature artist; more than 15 vendors, including food and dessert trucks and stalls; and an indoor centerwide scavenger hunt (with winners being recognized at 3:30 p.m.). Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Loudoun Education Foundation’s Fueled Program, a student-centered food security program. Those donating food will be automatically entered for a chance to win $150 worth of gift cards. Supporting worthy causes like the Fueled Program is one of the many ways Dulles Town Center and its management company, Centennial, are working together to provide meaningful opportunities for the community as well as significant benefits for Loudoun County. Centennial created its “Centennial Cares” program to encourage the properties it manages to be best-in-class and socially engaged organizations. As this event is being held during Virginia’s tax-free shopping weekend, participants can participate in the center’s “Spend Some, Get Some” promotion by spending $150 to get $25 in Dulles Town Center retailer “cash” in return (while supplies last).
