We are back!  We are excited to bring this in person event back to beautiful Estes Park!

We will be doing our part to follow Covid mitigation protocols.  More on that below.  Related to these changes, we have replaced the 5K & 10K with the Longs Peak 5 Mile event!  This will take place on Saturday, June 19th!

Finisher medals for ALL events!

The MARATHON & HALF MARATHON courses start from the scenic Dao House on Hwy 7, and descend 1500ft within first 6.5 miles on mix of dirt trail, smooth surface road/pathways!

The Half Marathon will continue to descend directly to Lake Estes Trail for breath taking views of the Continental Divide.

The Marathon runners will travel on the Lake Estes Trail and run the Dry Gulch/Devil's Gulch loop, passing the historic Stanley Hotel.

As with all great journeys, the mountainous beauty will encourage you to overcome the physical and psychological challenges of the climbs and feel the thrill of several scenic downhills.Share the celebration and joy of running with us! Runner’s World magazine recommends this destination race, for a reason!

Marathon and Half Marathon important information:

Transportation to the start line: All participants are expected to take the shuttle from Estes Park High School to the start line at the Dao House.  There is no parking available near the start line.

During registration, participants will choose their shuttle departure time.  The shuttle ride is about 25 minutes, upon arrival runners can use port-o-johns if needed, and then should proceed to the start corral.  We expect you can be out on the course within approximately 10 minutes of disembarking the shuttle bus.

There will not be a gear check in order to maintain health and safety protocols for runners, volunteers, and staff.

Bus departures begin at 4:30AM.  Please plan to be ready to board the bus 10 minutes prior to your departure time.  The schedule needs to be strictly adhered to.  For reference, your email confirmation will show the bus departure time you selected.
