In recognition of Earth Day, Live Thrive invites children of all ages to Kids Day at CHaRM DeKalb. It's a fun event focused on recycling and reuse to actively engage children in caring for the planet today and as they grow. Kids Day includes dozens of educational and enjoyable activities just right for young nature-lovers.

We're excited to hold it at our CHaRM DeKalb location at 1225 Columbia Drive in Decatur! The event is FREE to attend and includes tons of super fun, interactive activities for kids, including:

Atlanta ToolBank: Atlanta ToolBank will have a hands-on craft opportunity to build small cars.
Carter's: The Carter's team will be showcasing their sustainable children's clothing line.
Chattahoochee Nature Center: CNC will be providing Reptile Encounters and nature "biofacts" information on the importance of the wetlands to the Chattahoochee River.
Chattahoochee Riverkeeper: The team will be onsite demonstrating a Trash Trap.
Chick-fil-A: The Chick-fil-A Cow will be onsite visiting with Kids Day participants.
CompostNow: Compost Now will be talking about the importance of composting.
Cricket's Mobile Petting Zoo: Visit everyone's favorite furry friends, including goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and sheep!
Delta Air Lines: Delta is celebrating its Centennial and will have fun activities onsite.
Drew Borders: Drew Borders will be working on another mural for CHaRM during the event!
Food Well Alliance: Kids can stop by and enjoy games centered around composting.
Georgia Aquarium Education Department: Kids can participate in science-related activities.
Georgia State Bio Bus: Water in the Environment + Chemistry States of Matter will be discussed in the Bio Bus.
Georgia Tech Solar Racing: Kids will have a chance to check out their 4-seater solar-powered car, SR-4 Aurora. Learn about the vehicle and explore it inside and out!
Liberty Tire Recycling: Learn about the recycled products that can be made from tires and play a tire toss game for candy prizes!
Monarchs Across Georgia/Environmental Education Alliance: Learn about Monarch migration through an interactive, color paper butterfly exhibit and activity.
Novelis: Join Novelis for a hands-on "what is aluminum made of" create your own slime activity.
Old Castle Infrastructure, A CRH Company: Old Castle Infrastructure will be working with kids to discuss how to keep stormwater clean through water filtration.
Park Pride: Park Pride will be onsite talking about Urban Parks.
Scraplanta: Kids can create seed bombs from soil and toilet paper rolls.
Snowden Guitars: Learn how Cigar Box Guitars are made and listen to music played on these guitars.
State Farm: State Farm will provide an activity in the learning garden!
STEM Education Experience Inc: Kids can enjoy interactive STEM activities.
The Gift of Music Foundation: Miss LaLa's Instrument Petting Zoo, in conjunction with The Gift of Music, will have several instruments on hand for kids to play. Trying new things builds confidence, and creating music brings instant satisfaction, so people of all ages can stop by to experience the joy of music.
Trees Atlanta: Learn more about Trees Atlanta's mission.
Wylde Center: Kids can participate in an upcycling activity.
Zoo Atlanta: Learn about gorilla conservation and how recycling YOUR cell phones saves gorilla habitats! Bring your old cell phones to recycle at Kids Day.
