PACIFIC CITY INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY

Pacific City, an open-air, lifestyle shopping, dining and entertainment destination across from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier in Huntington Beach, California (https://www.gopacificcity.com), in cooperation with the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County (DSAOC), invites the community to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March 21st, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During the event, guests will enjoy meet-and-greets with Audrey Presby and Jeremy Fraser known for their podcast “The Audrey and Jeremy Show”; actor Jared Kozak from Nickelodeon’s “The Loudhouse” and “The Casagrandes”; TV miniseries “A Thousand Tomorrows” actor Cole Sibus; actor and comedian Parth Bhatt; DSAOC Board Member, advocate, “American Horror Story” actress, and model Jamie Brewer; as well as several cast members from A&E’s Emmy Award-winning show “Born This Way.” Willie Pestolesi, better known as DJ Willpower, who also has Down syndrome, will provide the event’s music, and Down for Dance will deliver an artistic presentation that encourages attendees dancing along to be curious and playful while exploring the art of self-expression. New this year will be a performance by the DSAOC Clogging Group and a dance performed to a song written by actress and dancer Jessica Aimee Kishner. Finally, a group photo with all attendees will be taken in the Event Center on the main deck overlooking the beach at 6:50 p.m. World Down Syndrome Day is a global awareness day officially observed by the United Nations since 2012; the date is always the 21st day of the third month to signify the unique trisomy of the 21st chromosome which results in as many as 5,000 children born with Down syndrome annually around the world.
