In celebration of Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Pacific City, an open-air, lifestyle shopping, dining and entertainment destination across from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier in Huntington Beach, California (https://www.gopacificcity.com), invites the community to a free showing of “Turning Red” (rated PG) on Wednesday, May 14th. The showing is part of the center’s “Surf City Cinema” series of family-friendly movies held at Surf Theater (Level 2, Surf Deck, across from H&M) on the second Wednesday of every month through the end of the year; three months (June, October and December) have special showing dates. Guests are invited to enjoy popular movies playing from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.; some movies may end earlier or later depending on the feature length. Each movie night will also feature a pre-event activity starting at 4 p.m. based on the evening's movie theme. Water, popcorn, and other goodies will be provided (while supplies last). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. No alcohol or glass allowed. These movies are free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required but space is limited, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
