We Also Have a New Addition to the Kind Tribe
These Plant Sales & Open Houses have been our heartfelt initiative to find new homes for our beautiful collection of succulents and rosemary bonsai plants. Due to rising costs, the farm has made the difficult decision not to heat its beloved Wintertime Botanical Oasis this year.
We will be overwintering as many of our "Mama Plants" as will fit in our basement, propagating new ones in the spring, just as Mother Nature intended. Unfortunately, any plants that are not sold and cannot fit into our basement will be at risk of freezing.
“We have cherished keeping our Wintertime Botanical Oasis warm and filled with our eclectic collection of heat-loving plants, but the costs have become unsustainable,” said Mark and Katherine, stewards of Skydog Farm. “We hope the community will come out to help us find homes for these beautiful plants.”
We still have many plants needing homes, especially Large Rosemary Bonsai & an assortment of Cacti
The plant sale operates on a "Pay What You Can" basis, with all proceeds supporting Skydog Farm's community programs and events. No need to RSVP or register—just drop by and take home a lovely plant.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or believe you have a “black thumb,” we are here to serve as your personal Plant Doulas, helping you and your new family member thrive together for years to come.
A New Vision for our Annual Community Winter Thyme Oasis
Despite the challenges, we are embracing the opportunity to reimagine our Winter Community Oasis as an ecofriendly unheated greenhouse. Decorated with the stark elements of winter and filled with twinkle lights, this space will offer a cozy, magical atmosphere. At the heart of the Oasis will be our giant rosemary bonsais, surrounded by leafy greens and herbs grown in grow bags and hay bales to insulate the roots and keep everything alive throughout the winter.
We are thrilled to offer a limited number of private botanical celebrations Nov- April in this unique setting for groups of up to 13 guests, complete with farm-to-table catering provided by Iron Rose Cottage.
