SPiN Chicago Hosts Veterans Day Ping Pong Tournament to Support The Department of Veterans Affairs

DESCRIPTION

In honor of Veterans Day, ping pong social club, SPiN Chicago, is partnering with the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center to host Ping Pong for Veterans, a charitable event designed to benefit those who have served our country by helping provide the opportunity to assimilate back into society. Military veterans are invited to bring their “A-game” and participate in an exhilarating 64-person single elimination tournament, for which trophies will be awarded to first through eighth place champions. The public is also encouraged to join in the fun as spectators, for which $10 donations at-the-door will benefit the Department of Veterans Affairs to support housing, education, job and business creation for local veterans. With a goal of raising $25,000, the event will feature specialty food, drink, SWAG bags, t-shirts and hats. Registration deadline for veterans to participate is Monday, November 6, and entry forms can be completed online at www.PingPongforVets.org – where volunteer requests, sponsorships, spectator and public donations can also be made.
