THE SHOPS AT WALDORF CENTER TO UNVEIL ITS BRAND-NEW ‘LITTLE FREE LIBRARY’ ON THURSDAY, MARCH 2ND

3003 Festival Way, Waldorf, MD 20601, USA

DESCRIPTION

To celebrate “Read Across America Week,” which kicks off on Thursday, March 2nd, The Shops at Waldorf Center, an open-air lifestyle shopping center located just minutes from the Capital Beltway in Waldorf, Maryland (www.theshopsatwaldorfcenter.com), invites the community to the unveiling of the center’s brand-new “Little Free Library” to be permanently installed at the center. The unveiling for the new mini library, located near PetSmart (in the grassy area near the entrance to the center), will take place on Thursday, March 2nd, at 5 p.m. During the event, among other child-friendly activities, Charles County Board of Education member Dottery Butler will hold a special storytime for children. On March 4th and 5th, the center will hold a book drive where the community can donate child-appropriate books to fill the Little Free Library. Books to be donated can be dropped off at the center’s Pop Up and Grow space near Habit Burger. The new mini library is part of the Little Free Library project, a program that envisions a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. Each Little Free Library book-sharing box plays an important role in providing children with easy access to beloved books to encourage a lifelong love of reading. The unveiling event at Glen Eagle Square is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. For more information, visit www.theshopsatwaldorfcenter.com.
