Valencia Town Center, a sophisticated two-level regional retail destination in Valencia, California (www.valenciatowncenter.com), invites the community to its educational Earth Day-themed celebration and E-Waste Recycling event to help families learn more about the importance of taking care of the Earth for future generations. During its Earth Day Celebration, held Saturday, April 19th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests will enjoy eco-friendly crafts, sweet treats, fun games and photo opportunities that will make the day picture-perfect. Children can create Earth-inspired artwork, enjoy hands-on activities, and learn simple ways to help keep their community green (crafts and treats are while supplies last). Also, for two days (Friday and Saturday, April 18th and 19th), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Valencia Town Center, together with the WISH Education Foundation, will celebrate sustainability by hosting an e-waste drop-off in the Valencia Town Center parking lot near Citrus Avenue. During the event, WISH will accept consumer electronic equipment, including televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, tablets, printers, cell phones, DVD/VCRs, speakers, keyboards, mice, cables, wires and small portable devices. Batteries, light bulbs and exercise equipment will not be accepted. There is no charge to Valencia Town Center guests to drop off any item on the “accepted items” list, however there is a small service charge for major appliances, including cooling units and microwaves. Each of these events is free to attend and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. To learn more, visit https://www.valenciatowncenter.com/events.
