DESCRIPTION

Wetside of the Lake" is an immersive theater piece. It is a multidisciplinary experience that explores surrender, trust, and the power of dreams through rituals inspired by meditation, butoh, and somatic practices. Characters with mysterious intentions invite the audience into a state of awe and transformation, challenging societal norms and fostering deeper connections. The ensemble, with diverse backgrounds, collaborates using inclusive approaches to devise performances that push artistic boundaries.

Kismet Arts Tangent, formerly known as Andomifevin, emerged after the success of "Potato Topos" at the SF Fringe Festival in 2022. Established in 2017, the ensemble comprises diverse co-artists committed to creating experimental performance art in the East Bay Arts Scene and beyond. Using authentic movement, they focus on trust, autonomy, and openness in their collaborative processes. The group has presented solo exhibitions like "Protobotany" and participated in group exhibitions, earning accolades such as the "Best of Fringe" award in 2022. Kismet Arts Tangent continuously pushes artistic boundaries, offering transformative experiences to audiences.
