DESCRIPTION

This year marks EChO's 12th Annual Turkey Trot! Enjoy Thanksgiving morning with a family friendly three mile trot around Evergreen Lake. The Turkey Trot begins and ends on the grounds of the Church of the Transfiguration at 27640 Hwy. 74, Evergreen, CO 80439.


No Matter the Weather,

We Trot Together


Please dress appropriately. 

It will be chilly in the morning, especially

in the shady Church parking lot.

 

There are no bibs or timing chips

There are no Aid Stations, but there will be a hot cocoa and water station.

 

Pets are welcome on leashes and in costume!  

Strollers are discouraged because of the stairs leading to the dam on your route. 


 

Race Starts promptly at 9am!

The day of the Turkey Trot:

8:00 AM Registration Opens

27888 Meadow Drive

8:45 AM – Opening Ceremony

9:00 AM – Turkey Trot Starts

11:00 AM – Finish and Pie Awards

 

The 3 mile route will begin and end in the parking lot of the Church of the Transfiguration. From there, trotters will race west on Independence Drive, through downtown on the sidewalk, under Hwy 73 and up the bridge on the north side of Lake Evergreen. Race around the lake and down the south staircase returning through downtown and back to the church parking lot. If it snows on Wednesday, be careful of ice on the south side of the lake just before the stairs. If you have “YakTrax”, bring them or shoes with good traction.

Free Parking – 

Parking lot in front of EChO Food Pantry and ReSale,

Campfire, Mountain Home building,

Rising Graphics, Magpie and Stems,

Lariat Lodge/Center Stage (walk down the stairs and through the tunnel)


The Church Parking lot will be closed for the race. There will be 4 port-a-potties in the church parking lot.


Holiday pies will be given to the winners of age brackets for male and female for:

  • 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and 60 plus
  • A pie will be given to the Best Costume!
  • A pie will be given to the owner of the first dog to finish with their owner.

 

We also encourage participants to bring canned goods for the EChO Food Bank.
