DESCRIPTION

Ride the bridge, Bike the Bay!

On Sunday, August 23, 2020 enjoy an opportunity to pedal across the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge! This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat, ride around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway.

Along the way, riders will travel through the surrounding cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City before finishing back at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego.

All riders will return to San Diego for a post-ride festival with food, beverage, 21+ beer garden and entertainment.

Total miles : 25 miles (33 miles with gravel loop)

Registration fee includes: Ride entry with fully supported rest stops, post-ride festival with vendors, entertainment, food trucks on site available with food for purchase, 21+ beer garden entrance, and a souvenir.

Additional 2019 merchandise (jerseys, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts) may be purchased at time of registration on a first come first serve basis. 2020 merchandise will be available soon and can be purchased a later date.

VIP: Front of line staging, reserved seating in the 21+ beer garden, hosted beer and wine, and food provided.

Optional Off-Road Loop - for an additional $5 you can enjoy an optional 8 mile gravel loop in Otay Valley Regional Park – hosted by the San Diego Mountain Biking Association! Mountain bikes, hybrids and gravel bikes recommended for this fairly flat cruise that jumps right off the Bayshore Bikeway at the west end of Main Street in Chula Vista. Proceeds from the event benefit the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, sdbikecoalition.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the safety, connectivity and quality of life for all who ride in San Diego.
