Welcome to the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival Thorntons Great Bed Races!

Grab four co-workers, neighbors or friends to enter a bed in the 29th Annual Kentucky Derby Festival Great Bed Races - lets get rolling! The 2018 Great Bed Races will be held at Broadbent Arena at the Kentucky Exposition Center on Monday, April 30, 2018.

As always, the 2018 Great Bed Races will feature a theme from which participants can model their costumes and bed designs. The theme of this year’s event is "Race for the Cause". Everyone has a cause near and dear to their heart, whether it is cancer, homelessness, or hunger, we want you to promote your cause! And to help encourage all of our racers, KDF and Thorntons will make a cash donation to the cause or charity represented by our first place winners. You are literally Racing for your Cause!

Leave no limit to your imagination and have fun with your creative side! No costume or design is too outlandish for the Kentucky Derby Festival’s wackiest event.

Important Dates:

1. Deadline for entry: Monday, April 23rd, 2018

2. Mandatory Captain's Meeting & Pajama Party: Monday, April 23rd, 6:00-8:00pm at Bluegrass Karting & Events

3. Race Day: Monday, April 30th, 2018 at Broadbent Arena at the Kentucky Exposition Center
