2019 Cal Grant Regional Training

DESCRIPTION

The California Student Aid Commission will offer 2-day Cal Grant Regional training events at 8 different locations in 2019 for college financial aid administrators. Registration is now open for all eight events. All Cal Grant Regional Trainings last from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM both days, with doors open at 8:30 AM both days. Light refreshments will be served each morning. Attendees will be given ample time to go offsite to eat lunch on their own and return.

February 12 & 13 – MTI College - Sacramento, CA

February 26 & 27 – UC Berkeley - Berkeley, CA

May 20 & 21 – San Diego Christian College - Santee, CA

May 30 & 31 – Ventura College -Ventura, CA

June 11 & 12 - Asher College - Sacramento, CA

July 11 & 12 - L.A. Mission College - Sylmar, CA

August 7 & 8 - Cañada College - Redwood City, CA

November 7 & 8 - Coast Community College District Office - Costa Mesa, CA

November 13 & 14 - CSU San Marcos - San Marcos, CA

These free trainings are designed to assist newer college financial aid administrators who need additional Cal Grant instruction and help to better navigate the WebGrants system. Experienced college financial aid administrators who want a Cal Grant refresher course and any recent updates are also welcome to attend. Topics typically include a Cal Grant Program Overview, Institutional Eligibility, Cal Grant Cycles and Types, Payments and Reconciliation, Navigating WebGrants, Reports and Tools, Chafee Grant and Middle Class Scholarship.
