Saturday Day of Race Registration closes at 7:00 am ( this will give everyone plenty of time to get to the race start line)
RACE START @7:30 am WILL BE AT 1230 MAIN STREET at the OURAY VISITOR CENTER- OURAY HOT SPRINGS PARK. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO THE RACE START!
The Course will take you along our best kept secret, the scenic county roads that connect the city of Ouray, nestled in the San Juan Mountains, named for Chief Ouray of the Ute Indians, a paradise of Hot Springs, Waterfalls and Wildlife along with a Rich Mining History, to the Old Railroad and Ranching valley town of Ridgway, Gateway to the San Juans. The course wanders past beautiful ranchlands, open spaces, a small lake and the Uncomphagre River. The majority of the course is on dirt roads.

Full Marathon: start at 6:30 am. Ridgway Athletic Park. Participants run to Ouray Hot Springs(Fellin) Park turn around and run back to Ridgway Athletic Park.
Half Marathon: starts at 7:30 am in Ouray, 1230 Main St. at the entrance to the Ouray Hot Springs Park /Pool parking lot and Ouray Visitor Center. Participants run to finish line in Ridgway at the Ridgway Athletic Park.
Kids Fun Run: starts at 10:30 am at the Ridgway Athletic Park. Participants run (1 mile) 2.5 loops around the soccer field. Parents can run along as well to help with their little ones.
All races will finish at the Ridgway Athletic Park.
Plenty of Aid Stations along the way and food for all at the finish.
Course & Timing close at 1:00 pm
For safety reasons no bicycles, strollers or pets are allowed on the race course.

Finish Line Activities: Settle in and cheer on your friends and the runners as they come across the finish line. Hob Knob with the elite runners. Enjoy a local micro-brew at the Beer Garden, cheer on the kids at the Kids Fun Run, led by some of our elite runners, pick up some great race merchandise, check out what the vendors have to offer and cheer the winners at the awards ceremony.

The Cause: The Mount Sneffels Education Foundation , a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives and educational experiences of the youth of Ouray County
Refunds/Transfers/Cancellations: Similar to other races in the industry, The Mt. Sneffels Marathon and Half Marathon does not refund entry fees. In addition, an entry fee into this year’s race does not transfer to next year’s event. This policy applies to individuals with injuries, unexpected business, family emergencies, etc. Additionally, the fee is nonrefundable if the event is canceled due extreme weather or other conditions that may impact the race course, to the threat of or acts of God, war, terrorism, disaster, earthquake, government regulation and/or for economic/financial reasons. While Mt. Sneffels Marathon and Half Marathon does not offer refunds or deferrals, registrants may transfer their registrations to a different event on the same day or to another person.
