Register here for the Jericho Cat Classic, June 11/12, 2022. Online registration is available to Hobie Classes and F18. If you would like to register with another class of Catamaran, please contact Paul at pevenden@telus.net. There is no handicapped rating starts. Other classes will need a minimum of 5 boats to obtain a start.

RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing,
ENTRIES
Open to all catamaran classes. Classes other than Hobie and F18 must pre-register with 5 or more boats by June 4th to obtain a separate start. There will be no handicapped rating starts. HCANA membership is required for crew or skipper of Hobie Classes. Proof of Liability Insurance may be required to be shown. A link for online registration will be provided on the Jericho website by May 1, 2022. Onsite registration will be accepted on the day of the regatta by cash or cheque only.
FEES
$50 ($40USD) for Single handed boats
$70 ($55USD) for Double handed boats
1 meal ticket is provided for each sailor. Additional meal tickets for guests may be purchase upon registration.
SCHEDULE
Registration will be Saturday, June 11th, 0900-1000.
Competitors meeting will be at 1030h.
First Warning Signals:
Saturday June 11th, 1200h
Sunday June 12th, 1000h
No races shall be started after 1500h on Sunday June 12th.
MEASUREMENT
Each boat is expected to comply with the class rules for their boat.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The SI’s will be available online on the JSCA website by June 8th, Paper copies will not be provided.
VENUE
Races will be conducted in the waters of English Bay. The Launch location is the Jericho Sailing Centre, 1300 Discovery St. Vancouver, BC
COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be standard windward/ leeward courses. Variations will be detailed in the Sailing Instructions.
PENALTY SYSTEM
For all classes, rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
SCORING
The low point scoring system in Rule A4 will be used. When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. One race shall be completed to constitute a regatta. HCANA regatta points will be award to all Hobie classes as determined by the Hobie Class Association.
RADIO COMMUNICATION
Boats may carry personal radios but, except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded based on attendance and as deemed by the Organizing Authority.
ACCOMMODATIONS
RVs are permitted in the Jericho parking lot during the day but may have to be moved overnight. Pay Parking is in effect. Other accommodations are located nearby.
