RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, Prescriptions of the National Authority, IHCA Class Rules. Sailing Instructions will be available online as of August 28th and onsite.
H17/ H20 competitors using dimensionally similar sails (no square-tops) manufactured by Whirlwind Sails shall not be protestable by a competitor, the race committee, or the technical committee. This changes RRS 60.1(a), 60.2(a) and 60.4(a).
ENTRIES
Open to all Hobie Classes. HCANA membership is required for crew or skipper. Proof of Liability Insurance is required.
Other non-Hobie catamaran classes and non-members may join the regatta but are required to pay a temporary membership fee of $25 to participate. Payable during online registration or onsite
A minimum of 5 boats are required for a non-Hobie class start. There will be no handicapped starts.
SCORING
The low point scoring system in Rule A4 will be used. When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. One race shall be completed to constitute a regatta.
PENALTY SYSTEM: For all classes, rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
VENUE
Races will be conducted in the waters of Harrison Lake directly in front of the town of Harrison. Rendall Park will be the launch location. Park access will be available from approximately 1200h, Friday Sept 2nd to 1200h, Monday Sept 5th. Boats may be left on-site until Monday morning.
FEES
$60 for Single handed boats
$80 for Double handed boats

SCHEDULE
Registration will be Saturday, Sept 2nd, 9am – 10am, in Rendall Park.
First Warning Signals:
Saturday Sept 2nd, 1130h
Sunday Sept 3rd, 1100h
No races shall be started after 1630h on Sunday September 3rd
Supper will be provided for all competitors Saturday and Sunday evening. Additional meals tickets are available at extra cost when registering.
RADIO COMMUNICATION:
Boats may carry radios, however, except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile phones.
