2024 Maine Whitewater Championship Penobscot Race

The Great Falls Foundation is proud to host the 2024 MWWC!

REGISTRATION:  On-line pre-registration is strongly encouraged. This helps us make sure you get a t-shirt in your size! Pre-registration is $25 and can be completed on this site.

Athletes will recieve a T-shirt, entrance to awards, and start times to all three races at the event.

RACE: There will be a men's, women's and junior's category for kayaks. All kayaks must be 9'6 and under for the time trial and slalom. Long boats and duos will have no length requirements. 

Check in: 9-10:30

Safety Meeting: 10:30

Time trial start 11:00a (starts at Rip Damn and runs through the bottom of Crib Works rapid)

Duo / long boat race 12:30p (same course as time trial)

Giant slalom: 2p (slalom course through Crib works rapid catching 5 eddies before finishing the rapid)

AWARDS CEREMONY:  Awards will be held at North Country Lunch site at the falls following the races. Time TBD
