2024 Youth Camp - Camp Leader Application

Community Youth Camp presented by The Columbus Foundation gives 6-12-year olds the chance to learn the basics of more than a dozen sports while building confidence and learning life skills. 

Campers are divided into age groups as they learn from coaches, athletes and instructors in our community. Camp leaders to help guide kids through the pocess. 

Camp Leaders - Ages

14-22 Year Olds // High School & College Students

Camp Leader Captains - Ages 

18-22 Year Olds (Eligible for $350/week stipend)

Location

KIPP Columbus (2900 Inspire Dr, Columbus, OH 43224)

Responsibilities

⭐️ Guide campers through the daily curriculum 

⭐️ Help coaches and athletes teach the basics of 16 sports

⭐️ Demonstrate the value of life skills like teamwork, confidence and overcoming adversity

⭐️ Network with sport instructors and volunteers in the community

⭐️ Develop leadership skills through first-hand experience  

 Camp leaders will receive lunch daily and a camp shirt to be worn at each session.

Expectations/Requirements

• Camp Leaders must attend each day of camp for the entirety of the session to provide continuity for the campers.
• Camp Leaders must be between the ages of 14-22.
• Camp Leader Captains are open to ages 18-22.
• Camp Leaders must attend one Camp Leader Orientation Tuesday, May 21 4-5pm or May 30 6-7pm. Those that cannot a training may be scheduled to have one-on-one training.
