The 42nd Paju Mountain Run is a go for 2025!!

 

Join us on August 9th to walk or run the 12km Paju! 

 

The Paju Mountain Run is a 12km run going around the community of Red Rock and 715ft up the Paju Mountain and back down again. This event brings participants from across the North Shore of Lake Superior, with past participants from the East Coast as well as the northern US.

Past race times have ranged from 42 minutes to 2 hours. 

Registration:

Register online until Friday, August 8th at 12:00pm

Municipal office until 4:30 pm, August 7th

Red Rock Legion on race day until 7:30am - 8:15am.

Early Registration until June 30th - $50.00
Registration starting July 1st - $60.00

Same-day Registration on August 9th - $65

Registration includes a luncheon during the awards ceremony.

Registration fees can be paid via cash, debit/credit, or cheque at the Red Rock Municipal Office Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, by cheque via mail, or by cash, cheque, debit/credit on race day at check-in. 

Make cheques payable to the Township of Red Rock. 

All prices include HST.

T-Shirts $20

  • Participant T-Shirts: Athletic Quality T-shirts availability for early bird registrants.
  • Cotton T-Shirts: available on race day while quantities last

T-shirts are available online while quantities last, with remaining stock available on race day at the Legion before and after the race.

Race Day:

Check-in and race kit pick-up is between 7:30 am and 8:15 am in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 43 Salls Street, Red Rock (upstairs) on race day, August 9th, 2025.

Race starts and ends at the Tennis Courts beside the Recreation Centre at 39 Brompton Rd. 

Washrooms are available at the Legion and Recreation Centre, and showers are located in the Recreation Centre. 

Start Times:

  • Non-Competitive - 8:30 am
  • Competitive: 9:00 am

 Luncheon and Awards:

Buffet-style lunch is served at 11:00am with the awards starting at 11:30

Lunch is included in the cost of registration. 

Prizes:

The following are guaranteed medals and prizes:

Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Overall fastest male

Overall fastest female

Male and Female in each age category 1st, 2nd, 3rd. 

Top local male

Top local female

All remaining participants are entered into draws for additional prizes valued between $50 to $200 until all participants have received a prize, or no more prizes are available. Winners must be present to collect their prize for the additional participant draws.

Registrations canceled before July 18th will receive the purchased amount minus $5 to cover the additional processing fee. Refund requests between July 19th and August 8th will be eligible for a 50% refund. No-shows on race day are not eligible for a refund, except for extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the race director.
