What to expect:
You will not be required to wear a particular uniform, nor will you need to know advanced movements, tactics, land navigation, communication, etc. Though these are helpful to know and practice, this event is meant to give new players an opportunity to ease into airsoft milsim gameplay.
Unlike standard games, which are round based with different objectives; this event is what we consider a "skirmish" game, where there are multiple objectives for a single game that will last throughout the day with a pause for lunch and hydration as well as a report on how the game is progressing.
RAMPART SITE 1 AO(Not Final)
RAMPART SITE 1, ROCKS(2023)
The location of the event is within national forest land at Pike National Forest, which features terrain that is a little more difficult to navigate than most players may be used to. Footwear with firm ankle support is recommended. There are no structures, so players will have to consider the variations in terrain and the abundance of foliage to provide cover, concealment, and strategic areas to control.
The elevation may affect your maximum effective range and how quickly you become winded or tired from continuous activity. It is recommended to take things slowly and strategize ahead, as there are not many places where you will be able to run quickly and easily, and you will want to conserve your energy for when you need it!
As for gameplay and objectives, these rules will be explained again at the event, but will be kept simple enough to remember without the need for taking notes. A briefing of the game rules will be made available prior to the event here on this page.

GAME RULES:
Story:
A surge of radiation was detected in the mountainous region of Almakan, prompting the hasty pull-out of all NATO forces. Unfortunately for the various PMC groups, there was no room for their extraction, and they were left on their own. All hope is not lost, however, as a mysterious radio transmission broadcast to all channels spoke of a way out for a limited few, and for a price...
How to play:
Work together with your squad of 12 to complete objectives and extract from the AO!
-Each team will have 1 squad leader and 1 medic assigned.
-When hit, players will stay in place in a seated position until revived.
There are 3 methods of revival:
1. Medic
(A medic may revive any player with either a bandage or a revival bottle.)
2. Buddy
(Any player may apply a bandage to a downed player.)
3. Self Revival
(Medic only. Must wait 10 minutes.)
-There are multiple objectives scattered across the AO. Locate these objectives and complete their required tasks.
-Once available, extraction points will open for your team for the final objective.
These rules will be thoroughly explained during the briefing at the event, so don't worry if you are confused or have questions here, as you will be given the opportunity to ask them then. Some rules may be adjusted prior to the event, and will be explained during the briefing.
NOTE: YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY TO ATTEND THE EVENT.
(Pike national forest is public land, and therfor; 6mm Colorado is not permitted to charge for attendance. Payment for this event is for patches or donation only.)
Rampart Range Road and Pike National Forest has a long standing established relationship with the airsoft community. The park rangers are aware of our presence and deal with calls reporting "militants training in the woods" on a regular basis, and let the public know that we are just airsoft players having fun. On occasion, we see a park ranger come out to check up on us to make sure we are in fact just shooting bb's at one another and respecting the agreements established. No permit is required to come together and enjoy a day of slinging bbs at one another, so long as we adhere to their simple requirements regarding respecting the park and safety standards. Ie; cleaning up all trash we find and bring in, keeping 200 feet from all roads and offroading trails, using biodegradable bbs only, no sound devices or pyrotechnics, no shooting animals or uninvolved persons, respecting the land and properties, etc.
