"Celebrity Golf Tournament"

Benefiting the "Read with Reed 83" Literacy Initiatives/ Reading Rooms in Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) nationwide, including San Diego.

 
 
This Golf Tournament will be held at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in San Diego, California on May 20th, with an 10:30am Shotgun Start and Registration between 9am and 10:15am. Also, make sure to stay for the after-party and auction from 3:30-7:30pm which includes food and drinks!
 
A "Sunset Boat Ride Pregame Party" on May 19th from 5:30 PM-9:30PM for sponsors and celebrities. Boarding will begin at 5:30 PM and leave sharply at 6:15 PM.

The golf format is a fun and unique Scramble Match Play with either a Hall of Famer, Professional Athlete or Celebrity in each foursome.  There will be great on-course contests, a calcutta, and silent auction.

All net proceeds go to the Reed 83 Foundation, which helps underprivilged kids read at least 30 minutes per day by providing them an environment and resources to do so.  In these crazy times, it is a needed cause.

Across the country, NFL Pro Football Hall of Famer, Andre Reed and The Andre Reed Foundation are using the game of football to get underprivileged kids to tackle a good book, read 30 minutes a day, and catch the love of reading.

 

This Read with Reed 83 program has impacted 32 states, spoken to 64 clubs, and has re-modeled 17 reading rooms /nooks in the Boys & Girls Club of America across the country.

 

These READING ROOM makeovers in 16 cities typically transform run down rooms/spaces in BGCs that haven't been painted or made welcoming in decades due to low budgets. Reed's goal, with your help, is to give the club kids a cool, safe place to exercise their minds tackle a good book and touchdown to the love of reading!
