Big hair, big makeup, and big music. The 80's gave us Motley Crew, Quiet Riot, Madonna, Michael Jackson and more. The music was an eclectic mix of big hair rock and big hair pop (think flock of seagulls here). Who dominated the 80's! Well there is only one way to resolve this. Time for them to battle it out and you will help decide what music ruled the decade.

In partnership with Knapp Productions, Johnstown-Milliken Chamber, and HAL Sports we bring you the 80's Rock vs Pop 5K Run/Walk. Here is how it works. When you sign up, you will select what team you want to be on (80's Rock or 80's Pop). The day of the event. You will battle your fellow music foe as you see them right next to you in the start line area. The team that has the fasted average time for the 5K will be the undisputed music winner that ruled the 80's.

What you get:

• Awesome poly blend shirt that is themed for your rock or pop music team
• Custom finisher medal that is also themed for your rock or pop music team
• Entry into the 80's Fest Colorado (live music from our favorite decade, contests, food vendors, great refeshements, 80's parade, Star Search Karaoke, costume contests,and much much more).
• Plus you can pull out all that old 80's clothing and dress the part for the day.

Event Schedule:

• 9:30 a.m. - Registration Opens
• 10:15 a.m. - Goonies Kids Fun Run
• 10:30 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk Start
• 11:30 a.m. - Awards Ceremony
• 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. - 80's Fest Colorado (free to the public)

You can walk like an Egyptian, or walk this way, but Dr. Feelgood will make everything okay, as we all want our MTV, living in a material world, claiming I am the one, as we dance like we want to and leave our friends behind, and dance the safety dance.
