ADHD: Drop the Shame and Build Self-Worth 

Please join us at the 9th Annual ADHD Symposium. Each year Chesapeake Bay Academy (CBA) partners with the Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters (CHKD) to provide this exceptional learning opportunity to educators, parents, and professionals across the Hampton Roads Community. Keynote followed by breakout sessions with industry experts.

Continuing Education: 2.75 contact hours/re-certification points will be allotted for educational personnel, social workers, and nurses. Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters is an approved provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Virginia Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Contact hours will be awarded upon completion and submission of the electronic conference evaluation form.  Presenters of today’s program have disclosed no relevant financial relationships with agencies or individuals that impact or influence this educational activity. Sharon Saline, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist and author of the award-winning book, What Your ADHD Child Wishes You Knew: Working Together to Empower Kids for Success in School and Life. She specializes in working with children, teens, adults and families living with ADHD, learning disabilities, dual exceptionality, and mental health issues.

With decades of experience as a clinical psychologist, educator and consultant, Dr. Saline guides people towards a greater understanding of neurodivergence, and the ability to to live with more productivity and connection. She lectures and facilitates workshops internationally on topics such as ADHD and neurodivergence, executive functioning, the anxiety spectrum, motivation, perfectionism and working with different kinds of learners.
