Acceptance in Action! Virtual 5K Run/Walk

Growing Together Behavioral Center is a non-profit facility for children, teens and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.  In 2023 we are focusing on greater community awareness and acceptance of the needs of children with autism in our local area.  In the month of April we are hosting our Acceptance in Action Virtual 5K Run/Walk, to help educate the community and expand our services to support more families.

The run will directly keep growing our existing programs, which include the G.I.F.T. vocational program (Growing Independence for Teens), FUNctional program focused on functional life skills, communication, and learning independence, our preschool program where we focus on language acquisition and preparing students for V.P.K. or kindergarten and our elementary and middle school programs where there is a focus on math, science, reading, and more.

This fun run is a month-long virtual event! The run will be open to friends and family throughout the United States (and other countries) and will be a fun way for people to come together to support the work we do at Growing Together.  This run doesn't ahve to be a "run" - you can walk, run, bike, swim, scooter...however you want to complete a 5K is totally cool with us!
