DESCRIPTION

Mobile's Azalea Trail Run 45 years running the streets of Mobile at its blooming best - join us!

The Azalea Trail Run offers USATF certified 10K and 5K race courses, plus a 2K Fun Run/Walk. All races start and finish in downtown Mobile. All courses are flat and fast. Water and comfort stations are provided along the courses.

The 10K course will close 2 hours after the race start. Participants that have not completed the race by 10 AM will be asked to move to the sidewalk.

▪ Course Restrictions - For Everyone's Safety! Strollers, baby joggers, roller blades, balls, bicycles, headphones, ear buds and pets are prohibited on the 5K and 10K race courses.  

 Team Competition - 10K and 5K Azalea Trail Run encourages friendly team competition in open, corporate, church, school, and military categories.   Each team member resgisters individually and team captains submit the team roster.  Team Captains must complete and submit a team roster by March 15, 2023. Winning teams will receive specially designed awards.

Wheelchairs – 10K only The wheelchair race will be held in accordance to rules set by Wheelchairsports U.S.A.

ATR Expo - two day event with medical and merchandise vendors, free screenings, music, and post-race celebration.

ATR Participant Perks:

  • Registered participants will receive short sleeved race shirts
  • Two day Health and Fitness Expo with merchandise and medical vendors
  • Azalea Trail Run participants wearing their race bibs will receive a $3 discount at the Downtown Cajun Cook-Off on Saturday, March 25, 2023 The Cajun Cook-Off takes place in Cathedral Square - easy walking distance from the ATR post-race party.  Proceeds from the Downtown Cajun Cook-off benefits the Child Advocacy Center of Mobile (www.cacmobile.org)
  • Discounted tickets to the Festival of Flowers

Event Schedule:

Friday, March 24: Mardi Gras Park (South Royal Street)

Noon until 6 PM - Packet pick-up and registration available. Visit the vendors in the Park

Saturday, March 25: Mardi Gras Park (South Royal Street)

6 AM - 7 AM: Late Registration for 5K and 10K accepted for inclusion in race and award eligible.

6 AM - 9 AM: Packet pick-up and late fun run registration available

Vendors open to visitors

7:45 AM: Opening remarks, National Anthem, and Blessing of the Feet.

7:55 AM: 10K Wheelchair Start (intersection of Government and Royal Streets)

8:00 AM: 10K Race Start (intersection of Government and Royal Streets)

8:20 AM: 5K Start (near intersection of Government and Joachim Streets)

8:30 AM: Post-race celebration begins in Mardi Gras Park

9:30 AM: Fun Run Start (intersection of Government and Conception Streets)

10:00 AM: Awards Presentation - announcement of the top finishers in the 5K and 10K events

11:00 AM: ATR post-race celebration closes
