Barnaby's Challenge Course is about to take Las Vegas by storm! This is the perfect standalone course for competitive Athletes that will test their strength and endurance in the most EPIC way!

Whether you're training up to compete in the ELITE Course at a full EPIC Series event, or just want to test your skills, Barnaby's Challenge Course will give you a taste of what being ELITE is all about! All of the challenges are the same or similar to what you'll see in the ELITE Course at our events, but with lighter weights accessible even to rookies.

Epic Point Series: New for 2019

Points will be awarded to the top 10 male/female athletes at each 2019 Barnabys Challenge. First place awards 100 points, with a 10 point decrease for each subsequent place. 60 points will also be awarded to athletes that compete in and finish the elite course at any 2019 Epic race. There is no cap on how many points may be awarded throughout 2019. Male/female points leaders at the end of the year will receive the following:

1st place: $500 and 2020 season pass

2nd place: $300 and 2020 season pass

3rd place: $100 and 2020 season pass

4th- 5th place: 2020 season pass

6th- 10th place: 2 free races

Barnaby's Challenge Course

1. Truck Pull (90-second time cap with 2:30 time penalty if 90 seconds exceeded)

2. Clean & Press - 10x (Men: 95 lbs / Women: 65 lbs)

*Burpee - 5x

3. Deadlift - 10x (Men: 185 lbs / Women: 135 lbs)

*Burpee - 5x

4. Atlas Up & Over - 5x (Men: 95 lbs / Women: 65lbs)

*Burpee - 5x

5. Tire Flip - 10x (Men: Approx 185 lbs / Women: Approx 100 lbs)

*Burpee - 5x

6. Farmer Carry - There/Back (Men: Approx 95 lbs each hand / Women: Approx 65 lbs each hand)

*Burpee - 5x

7. Kettlebell Step-Ups - 10x (Men: Approx 65 lbs per hand / Women: Approx 45 lbs per hand)

*Burpee - 5x

8. Atlas Stone Shrugs - 10x (Men: 95 lbs / Women: 65 lbs)

*Burpee - 5x

9. Sandbag Lunge Walks - There/Back (Men: Approx 95 lbs / Women: Approx 65 lbs)

*Burpee- 5x

10. Keg Run - There/Back (Men: Approx 95 lbs / Women: Approx 65 lbs)

*Burpee- 5x

Note: Order, weights and reps may vary at events.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Each Athlete will run the course individually with a judge counting their time and reps while assessing performance.

  • Every rep must be completed at each challenge station. Athletes may not move on until all reps are counted.

  • Time Cap Will be Established at each event based on Obstacles and Avg. time
