 Beltaine Fairy Awakening Celebration

 CANCELED

Due to Rainy Weather

The Earth stirs with ancient magic—buds unfurl, streams sing, and the sweet breath of spring whispers life into every root and wing. As the green world awakens, the fairies and elementals return, dancing through the fields and forests in celebration. We invite you to gather at Skydog Farm to honor this sacred turning of the Wheel, a time of blossoming, renewal, and wild joy.

I had hoped this would be the year we would raise our first Maypole and weave our ribbons of intention into the season ahead—but alas, another Beltaine will pass without the dance around the pole. We look ahead with hopeful hearts to future celebrations. For now, we continue in the spirit of the season, celebrating the awakening of Mother Nature’s magical creatures and the vibrant life all around us.

Come adorned in your floral crowns, favorite wings and festive spring attire, ready to frolic through the gardens, spiral dance through the Solstice Spiral, and craft homes for our fairy friends using treasures we forage from the land.

In true Beltaine tradition, we will share a light springtime potluck. Please bring a festive finger food, a honeyed delight, or a playful treat that captures the spirit of spring’s first fruits. Fresh herbal tea, lovingly gathered from our gardens, will be brewed for all to enjoy.

Together, we’ll weave play and wonder into the very heart of Skydog Farm

Optional activities include:

  • Light-hearted garden clean-up and wandering frolics through the fields
  • Digging and adopting elderberry and raspberry plants from our food forest walkways (bring a shovel and bucket if you’d like to take some home)
  • Gathering natural materials and building fairy houses to delight the elementals
  • Sharing laughter, stories, and the magic of the land

This will be the first of many Beltaine celebrations at Skydog Farm—a blessing of the land, a weaving of old magic into new traditions, and a welcoming of all kindred spirits to root this festival deep within our hearts. As we sing, create, and celebrate, we call upon the ancestors, the wild ones, and the Earth herself to dance with us.

Turn to nature’s rhythm, a rekindling of joy, and a celebration of the unseen magic all around us. At Skydog Farm, we welcome you into this sacred tradition, where the land sings, the fire glows, and the kindred spirits of The Kind Tribe gather in celebration.

Bring a snack to share, a joyful heart, and your barefoot dancing feet.
