Event Details and Description

A reason for the devastating statistics for brain-heart disease in Canada is because these conditions are treated separately in the clinic despite that these diseases are highly interconnected, leaving patients with sub-optimal care. BHI is designed to change all this by bringing together research teams and engaging patients and caregivers to transform brain-heart health and patient care.

The panel discussion will be moderated by André Picard, Health reporter and columnist for The Globe and Mail.

Join us to:

Learn how patients and caregivers as partners on research teams will transform how brain-heart diseases are prevented and treated.

Learn how patient engagement can advance medical research:

  • By enhancing the relevance and impact of the research.
  • By addressing issues that matter most to patients—putting patients first.
  • Accelerate the translation of discoveries to improve healthcare
  • Learn how patients can partner with research teams to maximize impact
