Carnegie Diner & Café Presents the 1st Annual OMG 24-Layer Cake Competition at Taste of Vienna on April 26, 2025

Carnegie Diner & Café in Vienna is excited to host its first-ever 1st Annual OMG 24-Layer Cake Competition at the Taste of Vienna on Saturday, April 26th from 11am to 8pm, with the competition running from 2pm - 3pm. This event will be hosted by The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Although there’s no pet policy, the totally free event is open to all and just requires an RSVP to attend and spectate. Bring your friends out to watch local contestants compete to finish a massive 1-kilogram slice of our delicious 24-layer OMG Chocolate Cake — no forks, no cutlery, just pure cake-loving determination! The competition will be a thrilling spectacle, with participants vying for the chance to win an exciting prize package: a $1000 Carnegie & Café Gift Card, a $500 Cash Check, and a giant check for photo ops! The first person to finish the entire slice of cake (the same size as those served at the diner) will be crowned the winner. To enter the competition, contestants must register through a JOT form, which will include fields for their name, email, a picture, their previous experience in eating contests (if any), and their social media links. The cutoff date for registration is three days before the event, and 8 contestants will be selected (with 3 runners-up in case of cancellations). Contestants will be required to sign a liability waiver before participating. Spectators can enjoy food and drink from various vendors at the festival, including Carnegie Diner, which will be a participant. The event will be live-streamed on Carnegie Diner's social media platforms, allowing those unable to attend to join the fun from home! The crowned champion will earn bragging rights as the winner of the 1st Annual OMG 24-Layer Cake Competition, and will also receive a blue "Champion 2025" t-shirt.
