Attention all ladies! Want to get a jump on your 2018 season? Tired of digging out of the ice and snow to get in your workout? Want to meet up or make friends with training partners that GET YOU but might not live close by? US TOO!
So, come join our crew in beautiful Carlsbad, California for our spring triathlon training camp in the birthplace of triathlon!
Dates: Friday, March 23rd - Sunday, March 25th: Camp will begin early afternoon on Friday and end on Sunday afternoon. There will be additional, optional activities for those who arrive early and/or leave later. The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa has been kind enough to extend our special rate for those staying on Thursday and/or Sunday night.
Location: Carlsbad, California! The town that Sunset Magazine rated as one of the “20 Game Changing Places to Live” saying: “If towns were people, Carlsbad would be that friend you want to hate but can’t help admiring: smart, sporty, really good-looking, and ambitious.” And what better place to stay than The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. That’s right…spa. The host resort is world class and if you need a little pampering after workouts and talks, you are in the right place.Carlsbad is 36 miles north of the San Diego International Airport and 53 miles south of John Wayne Airport (in Irvine, California).
The Omni La Costa Resort...swoon...
Coaching: Provided by the dynamic duo behind Braveheart Coaching and authors of the bestselling book “The Brave Athlete: Calm the F*ck Down and Rise to the Occasion”: 3 x World Champion and professional triathlete Lesley Paterson AKA “Shouty Paterson” or, “Scottish Devil” (you’ll see why) and sports psychologist Dr. Simon Marshall, who advises Team BMC professional cycling team and Tour de France riders. They MAY make you cry a little. But in a good way, we promise. But, don’t worry, their accents make up for it.
The Details: Sure they say triathlon is an individual sport. But that's only partially true. Killer training sessions are always made more fun and bearable with friends. And what better way to meet new gal pals than sweating your behind off with the shared goal of continual self-improvement?And....AND....Lesley and Simon are going to give you exclusive insider training and racing tips and show you how to build mental toughness.
Because of the varied abilities (from absolute beginners to pro), each training session will have A, B & C designations, with ability-matched groups for every session. All groups will have designated session leaders and SAG support.
The final camp itinerary is expected to be sent by early March.

Yes and we recommend that you bring a road bike. We will be climbing Mount Palomar on Saturday and a tri bike would be a handful on that ride.
3. Will I need to rent a car?
Yes. Camp attendees will be responsible for their transportation to the resort and to workouts that are offsite. We will assist with setting up car pools but you should plan on renting or driving your car if you don't have a confirmed car pool partner.
3. Can I send my bike ahead of time and get it unpacked and built up?**
**Yes. We have contracted with a gentleman named Keven Lee who will receive your bike, build it up and then pack it up and ship it home when you're done.
4. Is the food gluten free and/or will there be a vegetarian option?
We will provide meal vouchers that can be used at the Omni La Cost resort. The resort does offer gluten free and vegetarian options.

It is our intent to expand and offer other camps. After this camp is complete, we'll begin planning and will make announcements on the Coeur website and via social media.
