Join Diversify Whitewater and the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas for the fifth annual Community River Float on the Cache la Poudre River near Fort Collins, Colorado. Participants will ride in rafts with experienced river guides down an exciting stretch of whitewater. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate!
We are also looking for event volunteers to guide rafts, set safety, and help with on-shore tasks. Please sign-up as a volunteer above if you are interested and available!
Participants and volunteers will meet at Picnic Rock starting at 8:30am on Saturday, June 29 and will shuttle up to the launch site at Gateway Natural Area. The group will float the beginner-friendly Filter Plant section of the Poudre River in guided rafts and other crafts together. On the river, participants will learn whitewater rafting basics with experienced river guides while navigating class I-III rapids. Lunch from a family catering business will be provided for all attendees at Picnic Rock after the river run. Participants will also have the chance to win outdoor gear and apparel from Chaco, Immersion Research, NRS and other local business sponsors. This event is 100% FREE for all attendees! Please contact Lily at lily-at-diversifywhitewater.org if you have any questions about the event or need transportation help to attend.
