Time for a Check Up
To improve the quality of life and economic well-being of our community we focus on activities, programs, and policies that work in concert towards a more sustainable future. This is accomplished by retaining and expanding existing businesses, supporting quality job growth, and encouraging diversification of local industry. Done right, proactive steps in economic development can help a community find balance. Like your health, addressing problems after symptoms appear, or worse, illness takes hold, increases the challenge to recover.
With that in mind, the Steamboat Springs Chamber and the Economic Development Council present the 27th Annual Economic Summit focusing on Economic Health.
This event will deliver practical, thought-provoking, and timely content in the form of an economic checkup using self-diagnosis to prepare for the future. The summit will evaluate local demographics and economic measures and consider the effect of housing on the economy, as well as look at the future of work and the development of talent and leadership pipelines. Capping the summit will be keynote speaker Joe Minicozzi, AICP, accomplished urban planner imagining new ways to think about and visualize land use, design, and economics.
This educational event consistently delivers quality and engaging content directly to business and community leaders in the Yampa Valley, sparking conversations that impact our region’s economic trajectory.
