Wild Edible Plant Walk

559 Rocky Hill Rd, Scituate, RI 02857, USA

DESCRIPTION

Join us for our first community plant walk

and discover the many wild edible and medicinal plants

volunteering themselves here at Skydog Farm and in Northern Rhode Island

Sunday May 29th

1:30-3:30

Our friends, Bear and Aidale, will lead us around the farmscape to discover the Springtime wild plants offering the first medicine and food of the year. Bear and Aidale have kindly offered to lead a walk for each of the four seasons so that we can learn the full cycle and spectrum of plant spirits living with us here on the farm year round. Summer, Fall and Winter Walks dates TBD.

The best way to learn about plants is through observing and interacting with living examples. At the same time, connecting to your local ecosystem provides an excellent opportunity to meet other plant lovers and build community.

$20 per person

Please Note: WALK WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE

All are welcome to join us for our monthly Ram Dass Fellowship Meetup immediately following our walk from 4-6pm

Visit our website for more info on our weekly and monthly Sacred Sunday events.

Bear Crevier is an herbalist, educator, and nonprofit worker. After being medically retired from the US Army in 2014 Bear began his work in the nonprofit world by starting a veterans program that helps to connect veterans to the wilderness. Plants and plant medicine are what has healed him and plants are his deep passion. It is from this passion that he educated people of all ages about the important edible and medicinal plants that grow all around us.
