One of America's most scenic marathon courses, runners enjoy trail surrounded by forest and Rocky Mountain peaks, lake side paths and rolling terrain with spectacular views. Starting with a 6.4 mile downhill section, that descends 1000 ft, runners will find their rhythm and strong pace for an exceptional marathon race. Runner's World magazine recommends this exceptional destination race weekend for a reason! As with all great journeys, the beauty will inspire you to overcome the physical challenge, psychological hurdle, and celebrate all that is good about being active and alive! Everyone who crosses the finish line expresses appreciation and recognizes their accomplishment. You will be greeted by a cheering crowd who will join in with your celebrations. The 2017 Estes Park Marathon celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Baldpate Inn and the mountain Town of Estes Park, Colorado! Join the Fun!

June 17th - Saturday

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5K Start
  • 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Packet Pickup (Estes Park High School Commons)

10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Kids Bike & Fun Run Festival! (Bond Park - downtown Estes Park

  • 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Live music performed by Kutandara marimba band, interactive games, Cross Fit, Yoga, Hula Hooping, face painting and more! All ages are welcome to play and enjoy the day!
  • 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Bike Event
  • 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Fun Run!

June 18th - Sunday

  • 5:00 a.m. - Packet Pickup for Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K
  • 6:30 a.m. - Start of the Estes Park Marathon & Marathon Relay from Baldpate Inn
  • 7:00 a.m. - Start of the Estes Park Half Marathon from Lake Estes Trail
  • 8:00 a.m. - Start of the Estes Park 10K from Estes Park Middle School
  • 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Post Race Party, High School Commons/registration area

AWARDS -- Award winners can pick up their hardware or ribbons at the Awards Table near the finish line

Marathon Start Transporation - Transportation is provided by the Estes Park Trolley to the Marathon start line. Trolley leaves 4:50 AM and 5: 45 AM from the Estes Park High School.
