EV Level 1 Electrical/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness Training

The purpose of this Statement of Work (“SOW”) is to outline the work, responsibilities, and deliverables required by each of the Parties to deliver an Automotive High Voltage Certification Training Level 1, accredited by IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) for SSF.

• EV & Hybrid Awareness Training

• Safety and PPE Awareness

• Theoretical Assessment

SCOPE

The Automotive Certified Training Academy (ACTA) will deliver the aforementioned items as part of the program, utilizing the current capabilities and processes with plans to augment future offerings with additional resources, locations, and improvements to enhance throughput, efficiency, and student convenience.

This course is built for shop owners, service writers, and technicians to understand hybrid and electric vehicle technology. Students will learn about the required PPE, tools, and equipment necessary to work on electric and hybrid vehicles. The course will be taught under the guidelines of European regulations, and students will receive a Level 1 Certificate upon successfully passing a theoretical exam.

The instructor will share real-life experiences and provide in-depth insights into system diagnostics and high-voltage system repair. Battery design and architecture will also be covered extensively. The class will introduce students to U.S. regulations and recommendations such as OSHA, NFPA, and SAE, to prepare every shop for hybrid and electric vehicle technologies.

ACTA Instructors

• ACTA instructors are trained and certified under European Regulation ECE-R100.

• All new instructors will be educated under the following 3-step process:

  • Step 1: Mandatory participation in the student class and passing score on the exam

  • Step 2: Observation of Certification Training Program and supervised instructional delivery during the course

  • Step 3: Facilitation of a full Certification Training Program under the supervision and guidance of a trained High Voltage Instructor
