Join Jeané Liburd, MA, CCLS for a frank discussion on parenting around race. How can we understand racial awareness through a developmental lens, identify "buffer zones", dismantle myths around discussing race, and equip you to intentionally support young children in creating an inclusive environment where all children are seen, heard and valued for their unique contributions? 

 

Presenter: Jeané Liburd MA, CCLS, is a certified child life specialist with a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, and has trained extensively in play therapy. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor for Liberty University teaching child development, and multi-culturalism.  She has provided services for children and families for over 15 years in various settings including hospitals, pediatric hospice, and community programs. The focus of her work is supporting children and families who have experienced illness, grief, and loss.
