2022 FREEDOM RUN RESULTS

Join us for the 40th annual Freedom Run benefiting Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice in Evergreen!

NEW Registrations will still be accepted during advance packet pickup (details listed below) and on race morning.

Whether you walk, run, stroll, or cheer from the sidelines, the Freedom Run is a great way to kick off your Fourth of July.

The scenic 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) course follows gently rolling terrain through residential areas, beginning at 8 am at Evergreen Middle School and ending with a festive finish line at Nick’s Pro Fitness. 

All proceeds go to Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice which provides home health care, palliative care, hospice, bereavement assistance, Camp Comfort for children who have lost a loved one, as well as emotional and spiritual needs assistance across our mountain community.

Advance registration fees, register online through Tuesday, June 28th

  • Adults: $40
  • Youth under 18: $20 

Onsite registration fees at the Mount Evans office Wed 6/29 - Fri 7/1 12noon & on July 4th.

  • Adults: $45
  • Youth under 18: $25

Event Details

When

Monday, July 4, 2022 promptly at 8AM.

Onsite registration opens at 6:45 am.

Runners will start up front, followed by walkers. In the interest of safety and fairness to competitive runners, strollers and leashed dogs will only be allowed at the back of the walk.

From Denver, exit I-70 west onto Evergreen Parkway (Exit 252). Proceed on Hwy. 74 east 3.5 miles to Bergen Parkway (the fifth light from I-70).

Be sure to allow 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the parking area to the start line. Allow more time if registering day of.

T-shirt, race bib, and timing chip pickup

Advance packet pickup is encouraged!
You can pick up your t-shirt, race bib, and timing chip at the Mount Evans office (3081 Bergen Peak Drive, Evergreen) at these times:

  • Wednesday, June 29 from 4 pm to 6 pm
  • Thursday, June 30 from 12 pm to 6 pm
  • Friday, July 1 from 9 am to 12 pm

Can’t pick-up in advance? You can pick-up near the start line on race day from 6:45 am to 7:45 am. Event day bib pickup will be at Evergreen Middle School which you will pass on your way from the elementary school parking lot to the start line.  

Prizes/Awards

Awards will be given for the fastest runners in each age and group and overall male and female runners.  Top 3 Male and Female: Overall, Ages 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69-, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.

Memorial/Honorary bibs

Are you walking or running in memory or in honor of a loved one? If so, free memorial/honorary bibs will be available when you pick up your race bib. We’ll also have bibs available to let you share why you run.

Shuttle information

After the race, free bus transportation will be provided from the finish line back to the parking lot between 9 am and 10:30 am. 

Post-race party

Race participants and their families and friends are invited to join the finish-line festivities at Nick’s Pro Fitness. Enjoy refreshments, music, prizes, and lots of clean mountain air! The party features fun activities for kids of all ages.
