University of South Alabama Campus, SGA Pavilion at the Intramural Fields

Distance:

Certified 5K course (AL08004JD) on the USA campus; Fun run is approximately ¾-mile and starts at 8:45am.

Registration:

Mail in registration (postmarked by February 27), online, or in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on Thursday, March 3. Early packet pickup at Thompson Engineering, 2970 Cottage Hill Rd., Friday, March 4 from 11am – 2pm. Race day registration and packet pick up at the race site from 6:30 – 7:30 AM.

Race Shirts:

Participants registered by Wednesday, February 17 are guaranteed a Funky Monkey 5K moisture-wicking t-shirt in the size you request.

Otherwise, shirts are available while supplies last. Note: youth t-shirts in cotton only.

Post-Race Party:

Featuring Mobile’s Biggest Banana Split! Plus PB&J sandwiches, hot chocolate, door prizes, awards and more!

5K Awards:

Top three male & female Overall, top male & female Masters, Grandmasters & Senior Grandmasters. Top three male & female in age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, & 75-99.

Charity Challenge:

*The charity with the largest number of registrants receives a $1,000 donation from the Thompson Foundation. To celebrate our fifth anniversary, we will also award a $500 grant to the second place group.

Beat the Boss:

A healthy competition for your company! We’re inviting all bosses and employees to start the 5K together with a race to the finish. Participating companies receive a t-shirt for the boss and a prize for employees who Beat the Boss!
