We are collecting toys and items for distraction (coloring books, puzzles, craft kits) for the children at USA Children's and Women's Hospital and the children in the care of the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile, AL. Everyone is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for infant through 18 years to the race for donation.

Location:

Mullet Point Park (30°24'58.0"N 87°54'31.0"W), Point Clear, Alabama. Take Scenic 98 south of the Grand Hotel to the intersection with County Road 1; Mullet Point Park is on the right

Distance:

Participants will run/walk along County Rd 1 beside beautiful Mobile Bay to Weeks Bay. Half Marathon—USATF certified AL10063JD (course will be recertified in 2021). 8K—USATF certified AL10062JD

Course restrictions:

Due to police restrictions, you must be able to complete the half marathon or 8K in THREE HOURS. After that time, there will be no police protection or race officials on the course.

Registration:

Pre-register by mail (entries should be postmarked by November 24), in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on December 2, or online until 4 AM December 3. Early packet pick-up and registration on Friday, December 3, from noon until 5:30 PM at the PCP office (358 Morgan Ave, Mobile, AL 36606). Race day registration from 6:30 to 7:50 AM at Mullet Point Park.

Discounted youth registration available to PCP members 12 and under.

Virtual Option: 

If you can't make it to the race site Saturday morning, you have the option to participate virtually.  Select “virtually” when you sign up for your distance, half marathon or 8K.  You will get a race shirt and race bib - your mission will be to run/walk your distance within one week and report your results to us.

Awards:

Half Marathon: Top 3 M & F Overall, top M & F Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and race walkers. Top 3 male and female in 5-year age groups.

Finishers medals to all Half Marathon finishers.

8K: Top M & F, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and race walkers. Top 2 M & F in 5-year age groups.

Shirts:

The first 350 people to register for either the half marathon or 8K will receive tech shirts. All other registrants will receive cotton tee shirts while supplies last.

Parking:

Parking spaces are limited at Mullet Point Park. Please carpool if you can. Please be respectful and mindful of the residents along the course.

Post-Race Party:

Food and beverages will be provided

Covid-19 considerations:

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the Port City Pacers are making the following modifications to our normal race routine:

  • All participants, volunteers, spectators, and race officials are asked and expected to wear face coverings (masks) and to social distance as much as possible during this event.  
  • Participants may remove their masks during the race, but are ask to replace their mask after they have finished the race.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available 
  • There will be staggered start times to allow for social distancing
  • No contact awards presentation - Winners will be announced and winners will pick-up their awards from the awards table.
