Welcome to the first annual La Baie Run! 100% of raised funds will be donated to the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation. There will be three races (10k Along the Bay, 5km colour walk/run, 1km colour run for kids). Come join us for great prizes, chip timing, music, food and much more!

Participation

• 10k Along the Bay (9:15am): men and women overall 1st ($1,000), 2nd ($500), 3rd ($250), prizes for top three of each age group.
• 5km En Couleur walk/run (10:00am): prize draws, wear a white shirt that will end up being quite colourful (or wear a dark coloured shirt if you wish not getting coloured)
• 1km Colour Run for kids (11:00am): prize draws, wear a white shirt that will end up being quite colourful (or wear a dark coloured shirt if you wish not getting coloured). Kids registered for the 1km will receive a bib number and timing chip. Please note that parents are allowed to accompany their kids for the race without having to pay the 10$ fee themselves.
• Fundraiser Form: 1 draw ticket provided for every 100$ raised, no need to participate in any of the races

Kit pick-up

You may receive your bib, four safety pins, and timing chip near the race start in the Municipal Park:

• Friday July 19th between 5pm and 8pm
• Saturday July 20th from 7AM til race start

Same-day registration

Prices for same-day registration are 50$ for 10k Along the Bay, 40$ for 5km colour run, and 10$ for 1km colour run for kids. Cash, credit card or cheques made out to La Baie Run will be accepted.

Race Course Description

The courses are nice and flat. All races will be an out-and-back heading westward out of the park along King Street then Bay Road to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the L'Orignal Bay. A full lane will be blocked off by the OPP/Firefighters for everyone's safety. Water stations will be setup at the 2.5km marker and 10k turn-around. Distance markers will be visible at every kilometer. For the Along The Bay 10k, a pacer bike will be leading the way. As for the 5km colour run/walk, colour stations will be set at every kilometre but may be contoured if you so wish. For the 1km kid's colour run, parents may tag along and colour stations will be setup at various locations. Make sure to smile for the professional photographer on site!

White T-Shirts/Colour Station Information

• Plain White t-shirts will be available for sale at registration for 10$ (All profits from this going to Nouvelle Horizon's sports program). Email labaierun@gmail.com to reserve your size.
• Feel free to wear your own t-shirt.The coloured powder is made of corn starch and food colouring. It should come off with a regular wash, but no guarantee!
• The volunteers will not be aiming for your face as seen in picture attached!
• If you're doing the 1k/5k and don't want to be coloured, wear a shirt that is obviously not white, and walk/run along the perimeter of the course to avoid the colour stations.
• If you're doing the 10k, run/walk along the perimeter of the course 45 minutes into the event (10k starts at 9:15AM, colour stations are active starting at 10AM).
