How about a little Volunteer Vacation up at Mount Laguna? A little trail work, one or two nights of camping and a hosted BBQ, a lot of riding and loads of good company!

Friday

Arrive at Horse Heaven Campground anytime after 3 p.m. and set up camp. Everyone on their own for dinner. Campfire festivities welcome.

Saturday

Provide your own breakfast.

9 a.m. Trail work is limited to 25 people. Meet at Horse Heaven Campground and participants will carpool to work site to be determined by SDMBA liaisons in cooperation with National Forest Service staff. Tools provided. No experience necessary. Bring a willingness to learn, gloves, lots of water, LUNCH, and snacks, sunscreen and whatever else you might need for a safe and successful workday. Some snacks and post ride beverages provided by SDMBA. Swag giveaway opportunities for all trail workers!

What to expect at a trail work event.

1 p.m. Wrap up work and head back to Horse Heaven. Go on a ride, take a nap, hug a tree.

5:30 p.m. SDMBA will BBQ hamburgers and hotdogs and all the fixings and beverages (adult and otherwise). Everyone welcome to bring side dishes and yummy treats and other beverages to share!

Sunday

Bring your own breakfast and head out on rides as you wish.

1 p.m. Check out

In the registration process you will be asked to indicate if you are attending trail work, BBQ and/or camping or ALL 3!!!!

What to bring:

Bike and related gearcamping gear if you plan to stay over, which YOU SHOULD!!!!

Food and beverages, water

Work gloves and glasses, sturdy footwear,long pants/ sleeves

Have a favorite trail tool? Bring it along

Daypack to carry your gear and anything else you need for a comfortable and safe weekend.
